im with centennial wireless, an their phones are crap so i bought a unlocked g1 off of ebay. ive bought my last 3 phones and had no problem with them, all from ebay. and i pop in my sim card, and it wants me to set up gmail, i dont have a data plan so how do i go about getting through, i did my homework and studied about it and everyone is saying use someone who has t mobiles card. my town doesnt even have a t mobile, and im just wondering did i spend 400 bucks on something i cant even use? unlocked means unlocked and used by anyone i was assuming? whos at fault here, me or the guy that sold it to me off of ebay, in no way did he specify i had to had internet or anything, it said pop in card and go, just like i have with every other phone i have ever had. i hope you can help. I hate wasting money. any help is greatly appreciated.
