"the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again."

This message keeps appearing on my phone when i try to do a number of simple things ie. open contacts, open messaging, open camera and also a number of other applications. My touchscreen hasn't been working for a number of months so i cant do the factory reset. Getting very frustrated by this so any help would be greatly appreciated

So sorry to hear that, you might have a technical falt with your phone.
You might have to take the phone to the carphone warehouse to get it repared. Reparing and sending it back to you might take more than a few weeks.
I'm having a few problems with my G1 too. The track ball won't move properly so I'm always using my fingers as the mouse.
