So I finally jumped on the bandwagon!

Fully Rooted with Android OS 2.2!
I am running Fresh's Rom (flipz) 3.1.0.2

Wireless Tethering! Free Hotspot! It works great too!

I also have use UnrEVOked Forever so I have S-Off I can use custom splash screens. Choose what Radios I want to use etc.

This is the Software info from the phone:

From what I have read choosing differ. radios could give you better signal/battery life/etc.

I am not really sure about what all it does I have not gotten a chance to really play with it yet.

@kingsoleman this link will explain it all:

The theory is, your phone will get better reception, improved wifi, improved call quality etc.

^ Yeah what Ving said!

I am going to look in to the Radio's this week. Due to where I live this possibly could be very beneficial to me. I am right on the Border of Canada here in Michigan and currently I have my phone set to not even go in to Roaming or Data Roaming so I lose complete signal here quite a bit.

I am hoping with access to other Radiobands I may be able to pull from other towers and what not or some how see if I can make my current tower signal strength stronger.

If I figure this out I will do a write up on what I did and any programs I used to monitor everything. It may take a while though because right now I have not a clue how to even change the Radiobands lol!

I am having big issues right now though I guess the Sprint Tower near my home is down or something and my Signal strength is super poor or I have no service at all..

Been a pain in the butt the last few days.

Here is a shot of my phone in the HBOOT section.
Shows the phone having UnrEVOked Forever with the S-Off.
I figured I would sport the Talk Android website in the background as well for ya! lol!

you have to be able to follow steps correctly lol.

Easy? yes... Long process? Right now yes..
UnrEVOked is working on a 1 click root method for it right now apparently which will make it super easy.

someone at a sprint store told its bad to root the phone cuz
1.once rooted you lose the "1 year warranty" because the store can tell that youve rooted it
2.it doesnt make that much of a difference

your thoughts?
