I screwed around with it before I went to bed. I personally cant tell a difference between the quality. But I do know that getting the settings to 800x600 using the new program is easier then using Handbrake.
Maybe I will do two guides, or make you do the one for the new Program :P
Oh thanks
Nah maybe I will, I sorta have one going on in my sig, just maybe need to lengthen it slightly
I'm having the same issue as some of the previous posters. The video plays on the device, but when I connect it to the HDMI out, the screen goes blank on both the EVO and TV. HDMI works with YouTube, any reason it won't with the Video player?
Thanks for the post. Works perfect for me. No probs whatsoever... works great with my HDMI ports and DVI as well right to my HDTV.... good options for quality, compatibility.
I've encoded a 720p to work on the smaller resolution, but keep the 720p to play on my HDTV as well...
I got Format Factory...anyone have the settings to use on the EVO...Psy? Ivy?
gonna start on this tomorrow loading a few avi files to mpeg4 for a friend who just got the phone and taking a journey across the pond and needing something to do for the 8 hour flight
I was going to update this how-to: But after doing some research and a ton of reading I have found out that there is really no big change at all in the picture quality of the settings I used in the original how-to, to even worry about updating it for the 800x600 setting.
So I am not going to even mess with it.
Dr. Bowtie the file size will be bigger then the original. So all is well with that.
I used the settings Ivy posted in his guide for Format Factory...the size of the finished file is about 500mb compared and there are black bars on the sides but it is fine...
I converted 35 avi files for the owner of the EVO without hiccup...
