Changing DVD format?

i've been trying to load movies onto the HTC Evo. when copying from the digital copy disc inside of BluRays, the format is WMV. when trying to change the format, any program used give an error because the files are pretected. any help?

I am not sure what your doing, I don't understand your post to be honest.

What you are going to need to do to take a blue ray dvd and get it on any device though is find some sort of converter that will convert your dvd in to an avi/divx format. From there you may have to change the avi/divx format to wmv or whatever other type of format the Evo 4g will play.

As for the copyright protection, you will need to find a program such as AnyDvd that will bypass the copyright on the dvd to allow you to make a backup copy of your dvd.

He's trying to take the digital version of movies that is included on some blurays for example, and load them on his EVO

tried using the handbrake program in that guide. it gets to about 16%, then an error occurs in the program. it seemed to be working past the protected files though. i'll have to keep searching for a converter to do this for me

maybe try running it through anydvd first and then through handbrake?
