Hard to hear

Hello,

I’m a Motorola Droid user and I’m having trouble hearing the person I’m talking to. This just started happening and I have had the phone for about a month now. I’ve tried everything to fix it and it just doesn’t seem to want to cooperate. It seems to be getting worse.................. Any solutions?

I don't have very good volume on my Droid. It is very critical where I put it up to my ear.
