Got Motorolla Droid couple of weeks ago. Calender, contacts and email all sync fine using Google Apps Sync but the tasks don't sync. I live by tasks and have been asking everyone I know with a Droid how to do this but with no solutions so far. I'm sure there are a lot of good task management programs out there but I prefer to stay within Outlook and not be going between two programs. Anyone figured out this problem?

you can try gTasks application from Market. Syncs with google tasks. Not very fancy, but does the job. if you are using gmail for your mail.

However, I am working on a new Gassumo Outlook Android Task Synchronizer (GOATS). This will allow direct Outlook <-> Android synchronization WITHOUT the need to use anything else...

^Glanced at the site briefly. Few questions-

1) Will the phone sync back to Google on a regular basis or does it have to be done manually?
2) My biggest problem with the current tasks functionality is that alarms don't transfer over. Does Goats handle alarms?
3) Are recurring tasks supported?

Thanks!

1) Will, it is not done right now. Should be in about a month.
2) No alarms yet, sorry.
3) Partially. The next occurrence with the correct due date is created and if you complete it, another is created and so on

Thanks David. I'll certainly be keeping tabs on this, and it's great to see someone working to address the current Task shortcomings!
