I am a Potential Droid Buyer, I currently have the Dare and I like how the VZ Navigator works on it except when I have my Jawbone enabled, they don't work together.

1. Google maps looks better and all but can anyone tell the difference between the 3D view from the VZ Navigator and Google Maps, does it have better effects?

2. If you have two Droid devices could you send the graphical location of one device to the other via a text message or through the google maps app?

if it does, would it still work from google maps to vz navigator?

thanks, jerry.

I cannot respond to the first one, since I haven't used VZ Navigator. I recommend you demo one yourself...make sure you add the different layers when you are checking out Google Maps (by hitting the menu button...the one with the 4 lines....and selecting 'layers')

As for 2, you can easily do that since Google Latitude is integrated into Google Maps. Additionally, you can choose who will and who doesn't get permissions to see your position...and also set the frequency of location updates.

I've had some wierd stuff going on with my GPS / google maps on my droid, but I don't expect this thing to be as good as a handheld Garmin hikers tool. I've also had some wierd stuff happening online (desktop and laptop) with google maps, and google is definitely working on gmaps all the time.

I've been trying to find "breadcrumz" or a good breadcrumbing app. I got MyTracks, and it's pretty good at a lot of stuff, but "breadcrumz" got a lot of press and seems to have dissappeared.
