I picked up my Droid on Friday... no user guide in the box. Glad to have found this site. I was holding out hope that Verizon and Apple would get together so I could get an iPhone... obviously not going to happen with the "iDon't" and "We have a map for that" ads that Verizon has been running. However, with only two days of use, I'm very pleased with the Droid.

Hello: new to forum and am picking up my droid today. I understood there wasn't a user manual in box so am searching for PDF of the manual. When I click on the pdf mentioned above it says the link is broke - can someone recommend another location i can print a copy of the manual? thanks for your assistance!

Though I love the motorola droid, verizon does not have its act together.

the number one issues is this garbage 40 page manual which is sparce on details.

The internet speed is amazing, they have just made it too hard to figure out. In three days, only had one lock up where I had to pull out the battery.

Thanks for the post - I didn't get a manual with my phone. Thought that was bogus - anybody else have that same issue?

This Manual is a great Halloween present - thanks. I picked up a 'driod Saturday, nothing like this came with the device, nor could the young man at Verizon tell me much beyond setting up the phone to work. No support presently available, no references, nada.

Like JimB I was holding out for a Verizon iPhone, but this seems like a great device. Too bad that there is virtually zero help & support, except for volunteer sites like this!

Droid Users Manual
go to motorola.com's website and poke around a little.
you are looking for consumer phone, droid, support, manuals and users guides.
The 5 mB verizon users guide is there, it is 45 pages english + 45 spanish.
There are other tutorials there also.

Thanks for the information. i have located the pdf and am printing it right now. I'm enjoying the phone, have some reservations about quality of still shots but otherwise I'm pleased.

How come I didn't get one of these when I bought my phone? It came with the little fold out one only. Was my phone supposed to come with it? I bought it from the Verizon Store ....

You can download the user manual here:

http://cache.vzw.com/multimedia/mim/mot_droid/droid.pdf

There is no excuse for this manual (or at least a prominent link mention of the URL) not being included with the phone. Yes, some of the features are easy to figure out, but not all of them. In particular, it took me a while to figure out some of the basic phone features, like setting up speed dials and assigning ring tones to contacts.
