Hey all,
I just got my droid X about 3 days ago and i am starting to realize that the battery life is MUCH shorter than any other phone i have used. It is worse than the Motorolla Q, Blackberry Storm/curve/Tour

does anyone else feel this way?

Battery life with most Android phones is pretty low. On my Droid I use Advanced Task Killer to shut down apps not needing to run constantly. I also set my screen to dim after 30 seconds and turn off wifi and bluetooth when not needed. Another tip is if you are somewhere you cannot use your phone (school, work, etc.) disable the autosync feature until you can use your device again. Every little bit helps. I am considering getting the Extended Battery from Seidio for my Droid as well.

Not sure. Seidio I believe is planning one but not 100% positive. I would check them out at http://www.seidioonline.com/

I think it's somewhat app dependent, some apps that sync with exchange and poll all the time etc... etc... I do make a point of turning off bluetooth and wifi to improve things I am going to change my screen timeout to 30 seconds per the other recommendations. I have a bold 9700 and if everything was turned on the battery would also barely last a day.

I think the battery life is better on the DroidX than the Droid. I am running more apps on the Droid X (2 different exchange server accounts) and battery life is equal to or better than the Droid.

Not really sure what everyone else is used to with battery life, but I'm used to charging mine once a day. My X always has sync running (once per hour), half the time pandora, and gps/wifi/bluetooth only on when needed. I usually only use up 40-60% of my battery in a day. If you have access to a power outlet when you sleep, once a day charge is a good thing.
