I have been receiving updates from Verizon for my HTC Incredible since around Thanksgiving - maybe 3-4. Each time one installs it creates issues with my phone. The two issues I've had are:

1. Receiving (and occasionally sending) text messages stops.
2. I get "storage space low" warning messages when I'm not low.

No. 2 above usually will create No. 1 above but No. 1 can happen even without No. 2.

I went into Verizon tonight and the rep in the store told me when that happens I have to do a hard reset on the phone. I kinda figured that out on my own once before but it's a PAIN to do that. Even with my apps, messages, contacts, etc. backed up using the Backup Master App - not everything and every system setting restores. I've spent hours tonight reloading software.

Can anyone tell me if this is true - that it is a Google issue? I've had it with these updates and will quit taking them if I must. I'm trying hold out until next May to upgrade to a newer phone (although this one still does a great job when i'm not messing with updates).

Thoughts? Any input will be appreciated.

John
