Sync Overheat

I've searched the forums for an answer to this, but couldn't find anything. Is it widespread, or just me, that my eris overheats and just kills itself if it tries to sync. I can't recall when it started, but originally it was fine, but now I have to have auto sync turned off, because it will not only overheat, it will stop the phone from charging to even allow itself to work out it's problem.

I think I'll be lucky if anyone even uses this subforum anymore...

I personally have not seed a phone overheat. My Droid did get pretty hot but never shut down or anything like that. I would contact your carrier for a warranty exchange.
