I have the HTC Droid Eris and have had the Touchdown app for syncing with my exchange email server. The app worked fine for a couple months and then all of a sudden last week it stopped syncing. Didn't give any errors it just wouldn't pull new emails. In an effort to resolve the issue I reinstalled the app and now when I sync I get an error saying "page cannot be displayed". Does anyone have any ideas as to the problem? The support at NitroDesk(makers of touchdown) have not gotten back to me and seem pretty worthless.
I know with different devices in the past, there was a virtual storage 'limit' imposed on exchange emails. Perhaps it could be overflowed? have you tried wiping the deleted items etc? Also, the exchange information could have changed or been corrupted. I would verify with an IT tech that the info on your phone is correct.
lol, I am an IT Tech. The info is correct, the mailbox has been cleaned to make sure there aren't any limit issues, the OWA for exchange as been verified as working, so it is something specifically with the phone or app.
The native exchange sync app on the Eris has never worked with exchange 2003 afaik. Yes, I have tried it and it doesn't work either. What really gets me is that the touchdown app was working fine until about a week ago and nothing changed. Didn't get an update to the app or anything like that.
Try logging the next sync and see what it comes up with. To enable this go in to touchdown and hit menu>diagnostics>log next operation. See if anything comes up that way.
I had already tried that and it says everything was successful, however still no email in my inbox folder. I finally got hold of someone at nitrodesk and he gave me a few things to try and now my contacts and tasks are syncing but my email and calendar still are not.
The support guy from nitrodesk just sent me the files for the beta of their next release for the software and wants me to try it. I will let you all know how it goes.
I finally resolved my issue. Just for $#!t$ and giggles I moved all the emails in my inbox folder into a temp folder, recreated the folder, and then moved the emails back. Now it is working.
