I've heard that doing a hard reset will delete all of your messages even if there is to many. Can I do a hard reset by myself or do I have to take it to a Verizon store?? If I can then how?

I think for a hard reset you have to take it in to a Verizon store. The hard reset erases all data and memory on your phone. I am having the same problem with deleting my threads that have become over 400 texts and still haven't found a solution.
