Me and my wife both turned the airplane mod on our htc Eris phones mine turned back off fin bit hers didn't. The phone says airplane mode is on when your the lock screen...when you hold down the power button and try to select the option to turn it off says it is already off. The phone now comes up with Android.process.acore has stopped worki unexpectedly. It says that anytime to try to ope programs, the hone number pad,try to make a or really anything. Phone also has no signal...someone pleaseeee help me figure this out thanks

Try pulling the battery out while the phone is still powered on. This tends to fix some of the issues with the phone and also resets the phone. You won't loose any data or settings. Let us know if this works.

Similar problem. I went into the Task Manager and killed a number of non-essential apps, but the one that stuck out was an app installer. Killed that, rebooted and the eris was fine. Scary but simple fix. Did not reset to factory. Didn't have to.
