Smart Dial

I have found smart dial to be totally unworkable. As I start entering a name (first or last) from the keypad the name I am looking for either disappears as I add letters, or was never there to start with after the first letter. For example, when looking for "Bill Stevens", who is in 'People' and also in my 'Call History', by the time I get to either 'bi' or 'st' his name is gone. Does anyone know of any settings for this function? Any similar problems? My 'People' list came from my Gmail contacts, could it be some formatting issue? Occasionally a name does work, but it might be 10% of the time.Thanks, Don

Hi donlboy, I'll try to assist you if I can. First off, as you are typing the person's name using the onscreen keypad, the names associated with the letters that you are typing, should start showing up on the screen. After a few letters, close the keypad by clicking on the keyboard icon on the bottom left-side of the screen to see if the person whom you are trying to find shows up further down in the list. If this doesn't work, you might have a defective phone and will need to take it back to Verizon. My phone works perfectly when I do what was suggested above with no issues. Hope this helps.
