New Eris

My new Droid Eris is here! The documentation says not to turn it on until it's fully charged, but it gives me no indication as to how long that will take. Will this little orange light turn a different color when it's charged.

Also...I was putting the skin on it and hit a button and it came on.....so now will it be messed up because it was on before it was fully charged?
