I cannot sync the droid eris with my mac via bluetooth, nor usb.

In attempts to sync it via bluetooth, it says paired, but not connected.

Via USB, no drive shows up in my finder while the eris is connected.

Can anyone help me with this? My macbook is a year old and running snow leopord.

Thank you.

What are you trying to sync?

To mount your Eris as a drive, plug it in via USB and go to your notifications pane. Then select "USB Connected" and then "Mount."

Thank you.

I am having problems as well. I need to know how to bluetooth. I keep receiving the message "paired but not connected" when I try to bluetooth ringtones.

ToyaMc, as far as I can tell, you can't transfer files via bluetooth with the Eris. Bummer. You have to mount the Eris via USB.

I am having the same problem:

Hello,
I've had my Eris for about 3 weeks now and I love it generally. But I have this one issue that is now driving me nuts. When I plug it into my Macbook running OSX 10.5.8 and mount the drive, it only appears on the desktop and in Iphoto. It does not appear in ANY Finder window or list. This has not been a problem yet because I've been at work where I have an external monitor in addition to the Macbook's monitor and I can see the Eris on the desktop. But this morning I am at home and have just the macbook. The only place I can see my Eris on the Macbook is in Iphoto which is not helpful to me because I want to move a Voice Recorder file onto the Hard Drive and add some music to the Eris. But I cannot because I can't get at it unless I am in Iphoto.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any suggestions?

The drive is mounted. And I have tried plugging in, mounting and then unmounting, plugging back in and then mounting again. Nothing.

Thanks for the help!

I'm having the same issue. I had been successful syncing, transfering via USB and also tethering by USB.

Suddenly it stopped working. The Droid drive showed up on my desktop, then it would suddenly would disappear once I clicked on it. Now it doesn't show up at all on the Mac, or show a notification on the Eris.

I also also no longer able to Tether. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have a MacBookPro running Snow Leopard.
Thanks!

With trial and error and my wife's USB cord I figured out the issue was a bad USB cord. Make sure you check to make sure the connection is not loose or wobbly coming out of the phone's CORD connection.

TEST YOUR USB CORD!
