Has anyone had issues or problems downloading applications to this phone through verizon? Just got the phone a few days ago, and I LOVE it so far. Possibly operator issues more so then phone issues. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I had somewhat of an issue today. The apps just took forever to download on my home WiFi network, but they eventually did download. I was nervous I had messed up my folder directories when I mounted the Eris to my Mac. So I downloaded an app called "antivirus" which scans your phone for errors and such. All was good, so maybe the market servers were just busy on a Saturday morning...

I had three apps set to download at the same time and it froze up/didn't download any. Grabbed them one at a time and it went fine

I have not been able to download any apps, it seems to just hang at starting download but never seems to actually download. I left it sitting there for three hours and nothing. Clearly somethings not right. Any hints about where to look for help here?

i had the same problem. a coworker told me to stop all the applications. turn the phone off and take the battery out. (do a soft reset) after i did that i didnt have any more problems downloading apps.

Also its a good thing to refresh your phone (any phone) about once a week. Take the battery out for about a minute and put it back in. What it does it cleans our all deleted texts, caches, etc from your system and lets your phone run faster.

I had exactly the same issue. I did not have to remove the battery, however. Simply doing a power-cycle on the phone fixed the problem. (hold down the power butting w/ the screen unlocked and select power off from the menu that pops up). After turning back on, 9 apps I had queued up immediately started and finished downloading in about 1 minute.
