Blank screen during calls

Hi everyone, I have a problem I cannot solve. The problem is that during a call, my screen goes blank and I am unable to use any of the in call options or even end the call end button. Does anyone know anything about this?

and by blank do you mean black?? if so, you must be covering one of the sensors on the top of the screen. This is so that when you are on the phone your ear does not press anything during the call. If that is not what is happening than just give us more info on you problem so we know what is going on.

It may get wrong with the phone connection somwhere. You need to reinstall it.
By the way, what is the model of your phone?

Hi Delley,

I had a similar problem with my wifes wildfire. She made the call but once lifted to her ear it was black screen and even when lifted away it was black unless shaken.
The fix was to recalibrate the G Sensor.
You will find this in Settings / Display.
This requires the phone to be placed on a true flat surface with no incline.
2 presses of the button and its done.

Now your phone will be more accurate, knowing if the tilt is away from your ear or not. So illuminating the screen or not saving power and pressing buttons by mistake.

many issues will cause this problem ,such as jailbreak.It will cause unstablility.

thank you! worked like a charm.
very irritating I could not hang up, because the screen was black and locked.
It started after removing the screen protection film that was on it out of the box.
