Samsung Galaxy Tab slow

Hi everyone
I'm a newb and a recent convert from iphone to android (2 weeks actually) and I've just splashed out 525 euro on a Galaxy Tab but am really disappointed with the browsing speed. I got it for sitting in bed or sofa to use twitter, facebook and browse but its almost unusable its so slow - been switching sim back into iphone a lot .... Its got the latest firmware 2.2, its slow on both the 3g and wifi network, I've downloaded Opera which has helped a little but its not enough ... anybody got any similar problems and possible suggestions .... I'm beginning to wish I'd waited for the new ipad which will apparently have camera and flash ...

I sold my iPad 1 because of the flash and the size. Watched all promo videos of the galaxy tab and now I say they are very cheating ones. Bought the galaxy tab and was really shocked with the low browsing speed, low processing speed, and frequent crashes! In one of the promo videos they displayed Google body being played smoothly on the galaxy tab, something I could never experience myself! Not very happy given that I lost the iPad and spent heavily to get this bad initial prototype ! Also, has anyone truly verified the augmented reality feature?!!

Yes I've had the same issue. Download the Dolphin HD browser from the market. Much much better.

I love the latest version of Dolphin HD, a tabbed interface, various user agents, supports add-ons, private browsing, etc...
