Recent Update to 2.1 on G2

I received an update to 2.1 on my handset (T-Mobile G2 - Hero) yesterday afternoon (which I have never received before) and proceeded to install it.

Loving the new features, however, after the partial factory reset, I can no longer pair up my contacts with their Facebook profile to get their pictures in my People section.

When tapping the link button I get an empty list.

I have gone to the Accounts and Sync section in the Settings and synced all my online accounts. I can even see my Facebook picture in my Contact Card at the top of the People section, but still unable to pair up my other contacts

Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

I am still waiting for my G1 updates, I am on the 1.6 version because I am on pay-
as you go tarrif it's gonna be a very long time before I do get an update. The G1 browser is very poor in
terms of style and how fast it runs. Can't download or upload any file from the phone unto the internet.
The G1 browser for pay as you go users really needs an update.
