Eclair on HERO

Hi, I'm having trouble installing Eclair on my HTC Hero. Are there any possibilities for me to install it directly from the phone (I don't have a PC). I've heard that there should be a search mechanism under "About Phone", but it's not there. I have also tried to set my date to a future one, because I was told it might help me getting the search feature, but it didn't.... Is there anything else I can do?

press Meny> About Phone (on the bottom)> Phone Updates> Check for Updates

if that doesn't work, try running a RUU file, exept for that you need a PC, so sorry... ;/

Yes you need pc mate to download software befo4e you run update
