Does Not Play Well With Others

OK, so I'm all of 2 days into being a new Moto-Droid owner and in the middle of a long weekend spent figuring out what the thing can / can't do. No complaints thus far beyond my own ignorance.

But when trying to few many sites with video's I get error msgs saying I need the latest greatest version of Adobe Flash.

Fine.

I hit the Download link only to find that the Latest Flash needs Android 2.2 loaded.

By my Brand-New Weapon of Mass Distraction says it's up-to-date with 2.1.

I'm beginning to suspect that Steve Jobs might be right in his urge to distance himself from Flashing.

Or did I get sucked into the non-bleeding edge of designed obsolescence with a phone several generations behind it's prime?

2.2 was launched a few days ago. At google I/O and adobe have been beta testing flash 10.1 for a long time.

Jobs is wrong in my eyes putting all his collective eggs in on html5 shaped basket!! At least with android youll get flash and html5 support!!!!

Just be patient and 2.2 and flash will come.

Now I may be crazy, but I have an htc hero with 2.1 and it plays flash. I even have a setting that asks me if I want to play flash.

Dont know what the problem is?

no, the Hero has what's called "flash lite" it has some of the simple flas features and allows pages to display correctly, but doesn't support games and other really interactive flash content.

My Evo 4g does some flash stuff.... its 2.1

Yep, HTC helped develop Flash Lite, it is on all of their devices as far as I know.
