Sound profile changes on its own

i downlaoded the latest software. but ever since. my sound profile will be set on normal & it chages itself to vibrate. & also no matter how many times i calibrate my phone it will not let type sideways now. any suggestions?

Hi,
Dunno what phone you have, I have a samsung galaxy portal and I had a similar problem with typing while the phone was sideways.
with mine, it works ok if i start to type with the phone in an upright position (just one letter is all it takes) then turn the phone and i can then continue to write while the phone is sideways. hope this works for yours

with my Desire it was like this.. when you have ringer on moire then one (green bars) it is on general, hold volume down button, it is on vibrate, and press volume up buttonb once, it is on silent... could that be the problem, on some phones it is easier to press some buttons then others..
