Hey ya'll. Im Kyler. First post EVER.
Is there any way to see which SPL and PPL I am running? I had an adventure with my phone when I found out JF stopped. I tried to go from JF to CyanogenMod? - 4.1.11.1 This at the time was not a common problem on the forums so I decided to wing it. I now know that I had no need to go back to RC29 in order to change to Cyan4.1.1.
Long story short... I think at this point there is a conflict with my SPL and PPL. (I dont know if PPL is the official term for Primary program loader or not). Or a conflict with my Modversion (4.1.11.1) and Firmware (1.6) Or my ect. ect.
Is there a resource that you know of that will allow me to view the compatibility of overall phone stuff? I dont want to email Cyan at the moment because I think he has enough on his plate right now....
It is on and running now. Earlier today my phone died and when I powered back on I got the G1 Original SPL tri color screen with the Serial0 line across the middle. Every now and then when I refresh it it would flash to a white screen and you could see for a SECOND "No image file" and it would revert back to the tri color screen with serial0 on it.
Okay. Battery out Home+Back takes me to my Cyanogen-recovery and I start wiping and Installing Any Zip on SD. Nothing was getting my phone off of SPL. Eventually I pressed my Camera+Power+Back after hooking it up via USB to my PC. It turned on and loaded Cyan amazing ROM. I was flabbergasted and I do not think that would ever work again.
I am not turning my phone off untill I think this through. Lol. I am not sure if It will load correctly or (I am 75% sure it will) go back to the SPL screen from Hades.
I know Cyan is redoing everything ATM. I love the ROM and want to stick with it untill he dishes out barebone 4.1whatever. Maybe I should run Hero with HardSPL? I think I read Hero is not optimized for G1. I am a noob with a vocabulary so I apologize if my post is confusing, but I am so confused.
Here is all of the info that I know about my phone: Model#: Tmobile G1 Firmware Version: 1.6 Baseband Version: 62.50s.2017u_2.22.19.261 Kernel Version: 2.6.29.6-CM41 Modversion: CyanogenMod?-4.1.11.1 Build #: DRC63 cm-recovery-1.4 And apparently I have the HBOOT-0.95.0000
I assume because I am NOT running original software that my phone is still root from when I switched to JF a couple months ago. However I went to the Terminal emulator, typed in su enter and got the #. Which means my phone has Root (I think)
Please help. I have been working at this for about a week now and I really need a experts opinion. Thank you!!!!!!
