Which version of Android

Hey ppl
I am new to Android and recently i bought a G1 on ebay Unlocked .... but i don't know which version of Android is it running on and i would like to update it ,once it get it to Cupcake(1.5).And i don't know if rooting is done on it

Hi ntini15,
If you want to check out what version your G1 is running then follow these steps:

Settings > About Phone > And under Firmware Version it will say what version you have. If you want to update go to:

System Udpates on the same window/page. Then it will check for updates.
If you want to know if it was rooted ask the eBay seller, or read the title and description.
