A week on and few observations of the CUPCAKE release.

1) When going into the Application Manager it takes a very long time and sometime even crashes.

2) When the phone is locked and receive a SMS you unlock the phone with your pattern ID then it Locks up again. You need to enter your pattern 3 times until it actually unlocks the device

3) Generally the menu screen seem slower when it comes to scrolling down the list of applications.

Has anyone had any problems with the new update? Any advice?
How do i back up my apps on the SD card so i can restore the my phone back to factory settings?

I don't have 1.5 yet but you can go to the market and download "ASTRO File Manger" it allows you to backup apps to your sd card.
