Last week saw Google announce the new 'Cupcake' update that will be heading to
G1 handsets in early 2009. The Android update will bring added functionality to the G1 device including the ability to include an onscreen keyboard display, along with video recording and stereo bluetooth support.
The addition of an onscreen keyboard display will allow G1 users to input text without the need for the slideout physical keyboard.
Here's a recently discovered video that shows the new onscreen keyboard feature running on the G1 handset.
