T-Mobile UK have reduced their cheapest G1 tariff by £10 in the run up to Christmas.

This means that new buyers will be able to get the T-Mobile G1 for just £30 per month with an 8GB memory card thrown in free.

New buyers will be required to sign up for a minimum 18 month contract with T-Mobile, and will have a choice between the black or white G1 models.

If you’re considering purchasing the G1 android phone, then more information on the handset and it’s features can be found on this page: T-Mobile G1 Details.

Alternatively you can buy T-Mobile G1 here.

Really disappointed T-Mobile UK have reduced the plan in what, less than a month?

Not very cool to us early adoptors

Edit: On another note, has anyone in the UK seen any G1 related advertising?

I've seen a few banner ads online, but i can't recall seeing any offline advertising.

I'm just wondering why they offered me only half of the promotion? He didn't even mention that if I would wait 3 more days I could get free 8GB

This really grinds my gears!!! Didnt want to pay 40pounds a month but thought it was a small price to pay for a great phone!!! Might have to see if i can downgrade to that contract! Especially as i have to pay for voicemails!!!

As regard to the offline advertising. There is loads in the national press everyday and ive seen bill boards round my home of gloucester! So its not as though they aint telling us its out!

I've got FLEXI 30£ and far as I know you can upgrade tariff every time you want but to downgrade it must be nearly and of your contract or something like that

There may be a way around that... If your phone is set up to use the default message centre number, simply change that number to whatever your own phone number is (so that when you check your voicemail you're effectively phoning yourself), and the call should be counted in your minutes allowance rather than being chargable. That's what I was advised when I upgraded to the G1, so i'm not sure if it's because my account is an older one and they're allowing me to still do that or if it's a trick that'll work with newer contracts too but it's worth a go. Just make note of the current message center number in case you have to go back to it!

The 2gb is for the black G1, but they offered me a free upgrade to 8gb if I chose the white one. I don't care what colour the phone is and a 6gb upgrade is well worth having a white phone over a black one anyday.

I got the 8gig with the black phone 2 weeks ago, but a workmate got his G1 2 days ago and the y would only supply the 8gig with the white model.
