Man, Samsung has really stepped up its Android game lately. First, the company made a big splash in the Android industry when its phone, the Galaxy S, made an appearance on all four major US carriers. Then, the company announced its Galaxy Tab at the IFA in Berlin today. As shown with all this activity in the Android market, Samsung has no plans of stopping.
Samsung’s next phone, the Samsung Gem, will arrive at Verizon soon. The Gem has made an appearance in Best Buy’s buyer’s guide. The Gem is a low-end Android device, almost like a cheaper and less impressive version of Samsung’s Galaxy S phones. The device will have a 3.2 megapixel camera, and will sport Samsung’s TouchWiz 3 interface.
The device will also launch with Android 2.1, so keep that in mind, as the Samsung Fascinate is also slated to be launched soon.
