more tablet news for the day, Toshiba has made their oft-rumored Folio 100 tablet official. It has been announced at IFA after sitting on the show floor for people to point at for awhile. According to the press release, the tablet will include:
- 1024 x 600 10.1″ capacitive touchscreen
- Tegra 2
- 16GB built-in storage
- SD card expansion
- HDMI out
- 802.11n WiFi
- 1.3 megapixel webcam
- Android 2.2 with Flash 10.1
Sounds pretty impressive on this end. Toshiba is also claiming that their new baby will get 7 hours of battery life through regular use – that’s 65% web, 10% video, 25% standby – *and a weight of 1.7 pounds. It comes with Opera included, as well as Toshiba Media Player, FBReader, Fring, Documents To Go and Evernote. Toshiba has put the price at ?399, and says that it will be releasing in the Middle East, Europe and African markets.
