Meizu has a bit of a reputation for copying other devices, namely the iPhone. *So when CEO Jack Wong announced that the new M9 will boast a screen resolution of 960 x 640, the same as Apple’s Retina display, familiar red flags were raised. Wong also iterated that the device will feature a heavily customized version of Android 2.2, and is anticipating it will be released by the end of this yearm and with demo units landing in October. *We’re hoping the M9 will be more than just an iPhone clone, and will in fact serve as an example for more manufacturers to strive for better displays.
