The inventor of the cellular phone, Martin Cooper, was seen a few months back on C-SPAN talking about how he traded in his iPhone for an Android based Motorola Droid. During the interview he told the reporters “Depends when you ask me. I always have the latest cell phone, and I try every cell phone out, only because people like you keep asking me. Right now I’m using the Droid, because I want to get some experience with the Android operating system, and I, so far, have some favorable results.”
Now over three months later guess what Mr. Cooper is sporting on his side? That’s right he still has that same Motorola Droid and states “I think that the Android phones are catching up now, and the latest version of the Android phones are every bit as good, if not better, than the iPhone.”
Right from the inventor he clearly states that the Android platform is strong and growing every day. No wonder why the market share for Android keeps growing. Makes you think might there be an Android based iPhone in the future? Hmmmm you never know there have been weirder things happen.
