As you've all probably already heard, Verizon unveiled their first Android handset earlier today. Manufactured by Motorola, the
Motorola Droid will be available from next Friday priced at $199 as part of a 2-year Verizon contract.
The announcement was made just a few hours ago, and we expect more information and media on the handset to filter out over the course of the day.
Here's a video that has just surfaced on YouTube showing a GSM version of the handset, so hopefully it won't be long before we hear some announcements for Europe.
As you can see from the video the handset does experience a certain degree of lag, but early hands-on reviews are claiming it's the fastest Android device so far. Guess we'll know more in the coming days.
