Just got my RC9 update. Differences I've spotted are:-

SIM Services
Android Market (now reports if updates are available)
Google Maps (now has street view - useless in the UK, but if you look at Madrid or the US you'll see it in action).

Regards, John

I've had my G1 since the day it came out, Street View has always been there on mine...

My mistake then - Sorry.

I only got my G1 a couple of days ago (upgraded from an N95), so it's all 'new' to me :-)

Same here, had it about a week 1/2 now and got rid of an N95 for it... far superior phone, even the battery is better

Well, I don't know about that

Certainly the very first N95 firmware used to gobble it's way through the battery, though with continual firmware upgrades I could get around a day and half's life from my N95 before it gave up the ghost.

It's all down to expectations - I was warned away from the G1 because of it's dire battery life, but I'm used to doing a nightly recharge so I'm not unhappy. My wife gets over a week from her Moto Krzr 'phone and couldn't cope with having to charge an N70 every three days, so the G1 would drive her crazy.

All in all, I'm extremely happy with my G1 (but still want PDF readers and DOC/XLS viewers).

Regards, John

Not a heavy user myself but I can take it off charge at 5pm on a friday (sits on my desk on charge all day) and make a couple of calls / txts check emails and surfy the net for a little and it won't need charging till Sunday afternoon.

but yes a PDF / office files viewer would be great.. hopefully a free one but if it comes to it a cheap paid app to do it would work... lets just hope future updates from T-mobile include better features than this one did... I won't know till the weekend if the battery life is any better with RC9 though
