New RC33 G1 Firmware Update Begins Rollout

like i said i tried the anycut but no update...i wonder if its becuase i am unlocked and live in canada...or maybe the region is possible,,,i live in the east and it seems that those who
go the update live in the mid-west

DId that anycut trick and said nothing available I guess.

in Vancouver , Got the RC30 update OTA. Nothing since .

As for the anycut trick , I get a successful checkin but no updates available .

I am hopeful the RC33 update will be OTA , the proximity to the USA might help me with that .

This didn't quite work.
I was able to create the shortcut and find the "Check For Upgrade" button. However, when I tap it, it only does one of two things, either "Check-in Status" comes back as "CHECKIN_SUCCESS" and nothing happens(Pending Upgrade and Download Status are both blank) or it returns "CHECKIN_FAILURE" and has a bunch of code after it. Guess it's not quite available in my part of Chicago.

Yeah, this did not work for me either. But its cool because I got the update this morning.

Hi all,

Brand new to this forum. My girlfriend and I both have G-1's. Her phone has received the latest firmware RC33 update. My phone hasn't been updated yet, anyone know how the updates are rolled out? And when I can expect my phone to be updated? Thanks!

This button appears to simply check-in, something that the phone presumably does on a regular basis anyway. In other words, it may pop you to the top of the queue, but it doesn't appear to put you on the queue.

So I guess I have to be patient. With the last few updates it's happened within a week of the rollout start, so no big deal. Not like I have to wait months.
