Just forced update.

You can ask your G1 phone to do a force “Check for Update”

You need AnyCut app from the market.

Create a shorcut on the desktop using AnyCut
- Select Activity
- Select Device Info

On the desktop select the new shortcut and scroll to the bottom. There is a button that will check for an update

i have 30 bytes to go!!!

Received RC 33 in Oregon. Not sure what to say...

Latitude is a cool program, Google Voice Search works fine, and the ability to manually search for updates has been added to the Settings. There is still no virtual keyboard, but everything I've read said the keyboard is supposed to be part of the "cupcake" update, which will happen...who knows?

I didn't have any issues with the other, background, fixes that were included in RC 33, but so far I've had no issues with the update.

BTW, the update is nearly 20MB.

I forced the update this afternoon with the AnyCut and Device Info trick, took awhile to download on EDGE but was successful. The reboot took some time after the update and flash to the firmware and made me worry initially but after it did come up everything was successful. I haven't noticed anything but the Voice search (lame) and changes to messaging (yes its smoother) and the option for Latitude in maps (also lame)
I am in Cincinnati.

What did you try about it? You make an anycut shortcut to activity>device info.
After you create the shortcut you can try to manually update manually by scrolling to the very bottom and hitting the "check for update" button.

I got the update around 9:30PM, I'm in Florida.

Seems the same really, except the known updates. I wish it was "Cupcake"
