I agree, that will make the phone HUGE! WTF! I recently had to return my g1 cuz it was defective and when I got the new one, they sent me an extra battery! I also own an emergency charger which takes one AAA battery and charges the g1.

I don't know, I got it in the mail today.. Battery life is amazing so far I have to re-charge it though.. I have to see a couple days if I like it how it is (the whole back and what not) I might end up selling my G1.. I don't know.

You will definitely get a new cover for your phone. It is slightly bulkier, but I spend so much time surfing the web on mine that I hardly notice it. My friends keep asking if I work for the company because I love this phone so much, but I know that it's just jealousy on thier part. Also my friend who has the IPhone (she got it when it fiorst came out) says that they had the same problem with the Iphone, but an extended life battery didn't come out until she'd had the phone for about 6 mos. so we are at least in a better place than they were......

I am so pissed. I had the new battery/cover case.
I dropped my phone lightly on accident and the case broke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree that the battery life is rather short, as I get about six hours out or it *yes this could be considered excessive use* but I have a few alternative solutions. I got a small adapter that plugs into a cars 12v outlet as well as a house 110v outlet and has a USB power outlet on it. I also have a sleep and charge function on my Toshiba NB-200. So I can use it to charge my phone while I am out. It takes about 20% of my laptops battery life to fully charge my phone. I am also currently working on a solar charging unit for extended camping/walking trips.

This battery extender from seidio looks interesting, I will have to look into it further...maybe with it, I could at least get a full days use out of my phone.
