Google removing most of the Android Market applications?

It seems Google have removed the majority of the available applications from the Android Marketplace.

Current applications that are still available include:

• AccuWeather.com
• Plusmo College Football Live
• Myspace Mobile
• imeem for Android
• Plusmo Pro Football Live
• BlueBrush
• Maverick
• MyCloset
• Cab4ME Light
• e-ventr
• TuneWiki
• The Weather Channel
• BreadCrumbz
• Buzzd

There's a thread on the official t-mobile forum about it here

"Ok guys, we're tracking this down for you. For the moment, we have been aware that an update was coming to the market and its applications. I'm guessing they required updates to the applications themselves (reason: I don't know yet) and those applications which were updated on-time are back in the Market."

Sounds like a general update to the marketplace - hopefully over the next 24hours those removed apps will start to appear again.

I'm not sure, the Android market is gonna be free for 90days, so im guessing they've just removed all the apps that are going to cost money?

My money's on a pre-launch day update to the Market i'm sure these apps'll be re-added shortly.

Although they are kinda cutting it pretty fine.

Was getting a little worried when the apps started to disappear, was browsing around the Market yesterday and the current choice on offer is pretty cool already.

I can't wait to see the paid apps that launch in the new year - guess i better get saving up some $$

I dont think think there's a set date as of yet, but January 2009 seems to be the point when we'll see the paid apps available.

don't mind paying for apps if they are decent enough. But a lot of them are useless.

Pacman isn't avaiable for non-T-Mobile customers or who is outside UK and US
