I love my g1 but...

Is it just me or is the market a little dry right now? I mean I haven't seen anything I would give four stars for a while

Oh yes! Its definately running dry! When we first got our g1, there were so many great apps like locale, cab4me, weatherchannel, myspace, etc. But just like everything else, its starts slowing down and devs are putting out crap like 49 flashlights! I'm guessing the devs are slowing down and holdong on to the awesome apps when the market starts charging.

A lot of people who are planning on some exciting apps are waiting for the changes in the market place to occur. GLU mobile for example who, out of the goodness of their hearts gave us that awesome game, Bonsai Blast, have some cool games ready to deploy. I have read that a commercial sat nav app (I cant remember the name sorry) is nearly ready too.

If only! I wonder if the G1 could handle full emulation, it seems the C64 emu isn't up to much but the Nes Emu is usable and Nes tech was slightly ahead of the spectrum (not by much tho').

I also guess that the cupcake rumors may have stalled devs, and the recent update may inspire/allow new apps.
