Excerpt from the Android Market Business and Program Policies:

Quote:
2. Android Market Business Policies

Returns: You have 24 hours from the time of purchase (not download) to return any applications purchased from Android Market for a full refund of any applicable fees. The option to return an application within this timeframe will be made available to you through the Android Market user interface. You may not return any Products other than applications.

Upgrades: Android Market does not provide upgrade functionality for any Products. If a Product offers free or paid upgrades, those upgrades must be obtained directly from the Developer responsible for the Product.

Reinstalls: You are allowed an unlimited number of reinstalls of each application obtained via the Market.
Just thought that was worth sharing. Although i kinda wish it was the other-way-around.

You get 24 hours grace before you need to purchase the app/game in order to keep using it.

WOW, this will KILL the developers. People will download, play for 23 hours and cancel the orders.

I noticed this as well. I had 2 sales for $1.99 via Google Checkout and were canceled. So people just purchase and install on their phone, then cancel the order via Google Checkout and keep the software.

They will have to fix this promptly.... Developers will get killed and people will get a lot of FREE applications.

It's not going to kill any of the good developers. You have to uninstall the software in order to get the Refund.

All this is going to do is protect the consumer from garbage apps that shouldn't be charged for anyway.

The $.99 "Do Not Buy Me" app comes to mind as a glowing example of this.
