Hi android users,

I just did a search for the new game i was interested in. this was recently released on android and right on top of the search came a crack to download the game for free.

why are steps not being taken to rid the net of these sites?
why do android users not understand the economics of not giving in to stealing from game devs, and then turn around and complain about quality?

between console emulation and android app pirating pretty soon apple will be the only one left standing.

Yeah, it bothers me too, especially since the apps are so darn cheap. I'm actually a reformed ex-pirate. Back in the WinMo days, I never, ever paid for an app or game. When I first moved to Android, I brought along the same bad habits initially. But when I saw how inexpensive the apps were (unlike WinMo), I started buying them here and there once in awhile, especially when they were on sale. I mean, spare 2 Cokes, and you have enough money for an app! (Heck, most are less than the price of a single Coke!) Anyway, I started noticing that I tended to use the apps I paid for more than the others. And then finally, I read an article on how devs prefer iOS because they can't make money on Android. That was the final nail in the coffin for me. I no longer have pirated apps, and I never will. If you love Android like I do, neither will you.

What a coincidence, I used to be a WinMo'er myself. I guess certain ways of thinking also controls what we buy

Your right on the fact its totally cheap. I give my 6 year old a buck to play a card dispensing arcade game which is over in a minute or two.

Yep iOS, even windows Phone is a more viable environment for an app developer. If windows phone picks up speed watch the developers migrate with it. The only thing keeping Android game development alive right now are tools like Unity3d where we're not just making an android app (which would be suicide).
