Help - EPad 10" Android 2.1

I need help with my epad 10". I think it's by MID and I got it a few weeks ago. It's running 2.1 and it did not have the OEM option to put in a signon password or pattern

What happened is I was able to download from the android market through the epad itself a widget that enabled the draw pattern to unlock.
Well upon rebooting the tablet, I can get to the first screen, which by OEM settings is the "slide to unlock", what should come next is then the "draw pattern" screen should appear, but it doesn't. So I can't get past the slide to unlock screen, as it button slides and the screen hangs.
I can't figure out how to do a factory reset/wipe. I can reset the epad by the pinhole on the side, but it just reboots again to the same stuck point.

I have the exact same problem...I've been racking my brain and searching the web for answers...I have no idea what to do

I had that on mine and i flashed the ROM and it worked just fine

I've been trying to flash it with the sd card (8G PNY, 4G Generic, 2G Kingston) with different ROMs.

I add the zt-update folder at the root with no other files present, pressing the left menu (volume up) button and power button and nothing would happen. I would even try it with the square button then the power button, and still nothing would flash.

Could you tell me in detail the file(s) you used and the directions of what you did to have it flash?

I used
Firmware 1014
Firmware 1020
and some other zt-update files I found

usb burntool is out of the question...i never turned on usb debugging in the settings before it locked, so it doesn't read at all in any OS system.

Well when i had to 10.2 epad i had to flash it using that chinese burner program which was a pain the ass but i now have a 7 inch one which i flash with an uberoid flash and it was so simple. i just put the files in a folder on the sd card, put the sd card in the machine and turned it on and away it went. It works great. everything works except the google calendar in that i cant get it to show up in the calendars but it shows up everywhere else so i have just made a bookmark for it and put it on the desktop
Search for the uberois flash and i will try and find the instructions on how i did it

I found the uberoid...although my epad model number is ZT180, would there be a compatible model number to use? and which did you choose for your 7" epad, MN MID82?

Hmmm i cant remember. When i did the 10.2 pad, it would not work at all, like yours, wouldnt boot up. i used a chinese one then , took a lot of doing but with my 7" pad, it was working OK but could not get apps etc so I used that one i showed you. It is much easier to do. I cant remember which one i used so i guess you better just go thru them.
They are for 7 " pads though but they should work on a 10" one i would have though
