My internet at home is fast.

But for some reason, my G1 can get connect onto my wifi network (in setup), get an IP Address, but none of the applications use the wifi. I can't get on the market or use the browser.

All my applications time out saying that there is a network error.

I can use my laptop against the same wifi and surf the web without any problems.

I've unlocked my phone, and i'm using the phone on the AT&T, but that shouldn't be the issue....

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

I have run into this as well. I frequently have problems with my Wi-Fi at home on my G1, which works flawlessly on my laptop. I've noticed the biggest problems for me are YouTube videos which almost never work over wi-fi, but occasionally some other applications will come up with a No Network Connection error and Doggcatcher stalls out downloads of podcasts quite frequently.

I've tested this at other locations and I run into the same issues so I am pretty sure it's not my Wi-Fi router.

Also I frequently have problems connecting to Wi-Fi networks which are stored in memory. I come home and sometimes have to flip Wi-Fi setting on and off several times before it will pick up the connection. Again, I've tested this on other wi-fi networks stored in memory, my brother's house, etc and I generally have the same issue.

Currently it's a simple annoyance, but I am hoping there are fixes coming soon.

The problem I have is that I have to manually connect to my home WiFi network. Once connected everything works fine, but if it drops off I have to manually reattach. Every damn time. (I am on RC30)

I'm having a problem where it connects to every other wifi router out there but my own.
On my home router it says 'connecting/obtaining ip...' then says unsuccessful for no reason (there's no way to see error report).
Now I know the router works fine as I have 2 laptops, a Zune and a Palm TX all work through it.
I've called HTC tech support and we walked through rebooting the router, changing the security settings (wep/wap/open, etc...) to no avail.

Anybody else have this? I can't be the first?

Did you try "FXR WiFi Fix and Rescue" ?
It is a free utility on Android market.
