Well after a bit of waiting and wanting my G1 arrived on the 21st,got it setup in seconds but wait, next day I get a text and send reply but keep getting pop up...message not sent .....wonderful.......NOT ..
So it is off to the awesomeness that is the t-mobile C.S. center where one person has no idea what the other just said or how to do their job from what I experienced over the next 2 days......
O.K. day 1 - I go through 4 reps, being disconnected twice while on hold and after at least 45 minutes each time, then a trip to the t-mobile store for a new simcard, still no luck after 3 plus hours on the phone,so I was told at 4pm to hang tight and they will call back in a hour or so..............
Day 2 ---You guessed it,not one call, sat home all night waiting.......
So I call back and nobody knows anything or that anyone was to call me back and once again they are very sorry ....yea that helps...and after another 2 hours of removing the battery and sim for the 15th time,I CAN NOW TEXT !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thanks them and hang up and make a few texts and then go to call into work and I get a this call cannot be completed as dialed.....try another number,it goes right to t-mobile......
So now I can text but not make or receive calls .....
Yep you guess it,back to t-mobile and the braintrust C.S. staff....another hour and a master reset on the phone and they say will will send one out now, return yours and call us back w/ tracking number...o.k. can do.
So next morning I pack it up and fedex it back.
Day after that was hoping the replacement would show up since it has been a couple days....waited till 6pm,no t-mobile love today,so I call to try and get a tracking number and guess what......they have no record of a new unit being sent out to me,no order,nothing............my ears got hot and it took ever ounce of my restraint not to blow my top and she knew it as she right away said let me call the t-mobile store down the road from me and see if they have a unit there, sure enough took 5 minutes, she called them and had it setup, yet every other person said I could not go there to get a replacement ?????
Today....got up and unplugged the phone after a full night charge and just let it sit,did not use it except to check the weather and 3 hours later it is at 14% and about dead .....
Now I know about batteries and how it takes at least 4-5 cycles to get to full strength and I did have my other G1 and it was not even close to this bad,so now I have a defective battery and at least I can just go back to the store now,but damn I cannot catch a break here to save my butt....
