I hope someone can help me w/this problem. I own Blackberry Tour and Motorola Droid.

I have Motorola Droid since the first day, they launched the phone. I only downloaded the applications that I wanted to see and try.
[/INDENT]2 days ago, I started to look into more app. on droid market and downloaded many free app. Downloading process was getting to be very slow, so I switched over to our wi-fi net. instead of 3G. I saw no improvement, so I checked on the RAM both on SD card (14GB available space & Internal phone memory( 25MB av. space). The next thing that I notice was the Notification tab showed low memory space & another icon popped up saying "it rejected the text messages" because the memory was full.

I called Motorala Technical support, they told me this..."all the app. that you downloaded from the droid market can't be saved on your SD card (16GB). They can only be saved on Internal Phone Memory (250 MB). I have to do "manufacture reset/ hard reset" which will erase everything on my phone.

They told me that I can't save or move any confidential information back onto my labtop to restore back onto Droid later is not an option. They can be saved through Gmail account regardless of my privacy rights.

I have no intention of making any copy of any application I downloaded. But some applications that I downloaded from day one, I will no longer have the access to. The end results are, you have to spend more money on the very basic applications. I was told and explained to clearly before I purchased the phone that all these basic applications are "Free"

What good does it do to have 16 GB of worthless space? Droid Technical Support told me to return the phone to Verizon!!!!
Is this how they solved the problem now aday! No wonder our country is in such a bad shape with all these irresponsible companies feeding us with "blood sucking machine". I just wanted to enjoy the technology that I was promised to me.

Droid has more problems than I thought...! To synch contacts from gmail contact list, I must buy another application (somewebsite said it's free). My concern is all of my information will be sensitive to identity theft........or if the information is not that important but the third party website will also have your information also.
Am I the only one being precaution?

I think there is a program called apps2sd that you can use to install programs to the sd card.
