Can someone tell me if you can be notified while your on a call of a text message?

When Im on a call I need to be able to hear a beep or something if a text message is coming through. I see it on the screen, but dont hear anything. I called motorola and they told me I should hear a beep automatically...I dont. I would love anyone elses input on this. Thanks!

Go to the market and download something called Handcent SMS. It is the best replacement for the stock sms program and it has the option you are asking for. It's also very customizable.
