So with the port of Android coming to netbooks, here I am wondering what kind of demand does this platform have?
I've been reading up around on other forums, and all i am hearing are people saying this is a bad idea. The OS, while great for quick boot up and connecting to the internet quickly, it is still lacking too many features to act as an actual computer Operating System.
Android has very limited Word Processing/Excel Spreadsheet applications (in fact only 1 on the Android Market and it costs $15+USD), and it can't even do basic image editing. With Android being based off of Linux, i am surprised GIMP has yet to even make a port yet.
With such limited functionality, (I dug through the Android Market, the apps dont make me 'want' to have everything), why would anyone want to use a netbook with Android?
are we expecting a flood of applications written for Android to come in when a netbook gets release with Android?
