USB Device Not Recognized (help)

I have a g1 with cupcake 1.5

yesterday i got home and decided i was gonna erase my music on my g1 via usb as i connected it i got an error USB Device Not Recognized by my computer....i have never gotten this error before i have rebooted my computer and my phone countless times and i keep getting the same error help??? i bein looking for a solution for hours non stop help me

Yes but its not my drivers my computer can't connect with my SD card it can't connect as a mass storage device . I'm getting really sadd and giving up hope on a solution

I had the same problem. I just turned off G1 and pulled SD card in and out a few times then replaced the USB cable and it fixed it.

Don't know if you have a wireless network, but if you do download "afile lite" (used to be called Discover, I think) from the market. You can access all your G1's contents through a web browser, delate and upload files too.
I use it and it beats having to keep fishing out my USB cable all the time.

I fixed this problem on my droid eris (android 2.1) by disabling USB debugging..
